The end of our College year is looming very quickly now as we seek to conclude our calendared activities and the final events for the year. These last three weeks will be engaging for our lower school years however, as they complete exams and the Project Based Learning programme in Week 9.
The College Annual Presentation Evening takes place next Monday night at the Perth Concert Hall. It is our most significant formal occasion of the year and the opportunity to reflect on and celebrate the school year and acknowledge the achievements of our student award winners. Student Attendance is compulsory for all award winners, performers and Year 7 students. These students do not require a ticket as they have prearranged seating. Family members and any other students wishing to attend need to purchase a ticket through the Perth Concert Hall. On the evening, all students are required to be at the Concert Hall by 6.30pm in Formal College Uniform.
Date: Monday 28 November 2022
Time: 7.00pm until approximately 9.30pm
Venue: Perth Concert Hall
We also enter the period of Advent at this time and embark on supporting needy families over the upcoming Christmas Season with food and gift donations to those who are disadvantaged in our community. As always, the efforts made by everyone in our Chisholm community through this time are significant and valued greatly by those in dire need. Chisholm directly provides over 80 Christmas hampers to families and individuals in need. 28 hampers provided by Year 10 and 11 Pastoral Care Groups have already been collected by the St Vincent De Paul for refugee families in preparation for this Christmas. These were gratefully received and I thank everyone for their efforts and generosity in this regard.
For our students in particular it provides tangible realisation of our values around compassionately helping others and giving generously. We pray for all of those needy families in our community and hope that our contribution goes a little way to easing the difficulties they face.
Mr John Bormolini
