As part of our RE studies this term students in Year 7 have been learning about the Season of Advent. All classes have had fun this week creating their own Advent Wreath Calendar in anticipation of Christmas. Students enjoyed the creative process whilst supporting each other collaboratively.

Advent is a special time in the Church as it begins the new liturgical year and is the season when Christians reflect upon and remember the promise and coming of Jesus, the Messiah. The focus of Advent is waiting for the gift of Christ and the celebration of his birth, which brings peace and justice to the world.
