Our Year 12 Geography class went on an excursion to Ellenbrook, Red Hill Waste Facility and Perth CBD as part of our studies on urban development and growth within Perth. We looked at the challenges facing suburbs on the fringe of Perth, how recycling and FOGO works and its importance to waste management and gained new skills to become more sustainable in our everyday lives. This was a beneficial day as we not only got to apply our classroom work to the real world, but also see how we can apply this knowledge to our lives.
