Young people require guidance and space to exercise and hone their leadership skills. Learning a range of leadership skills and techniques from a young age can provide students with an excellent head start in life. Young people who are supported in harnessing their leadership skills are likely to gain a better understanding of themselves, a higher level of confidence and an increased capacity to manage and organise their own lives. They are also likely to develop processes and skills useful in their learning and develop a more profound sense of maturity. Student leaders go on to become independent thinkers who understand how to work as part of a team and have positive effects on organisations and communities.
At Chisholm, we invest in our Prefects and Assistant Prefects by taking them on a two-day camp carefully constructed to develop leadership skills and bond together as a whole group. We have an outstanding group of Prefects and Assistant Prefects this year and we cannot wait to see what they have in store for us in 2023.
Our congratulations and best wishes are extended to these students:
