It’s important for students to experience leadership opportunities during their schooling, to learn the art of building relationships within teams, defining identities, and achieving tasks effectively. It also provides an opportunity to learn to identify and display effective communication and interpersonal skills.
On Tuesday our prospective student leaders for 2023, tested their public speaking skills as they presented speeches on why they should be a Prefect or Assistant Prefect to their peers within their House.
Leadership is a skill for life, and, at Chisholm, we ensure all students have regular opportunities to be involved and strengthen their skills. Regardless of the results, we are so proud of these students for demonstrating courage and bravery through this process. Let them never forget that everyone has influence and each person can lead in their own way. Titles don’t make you a leader, impact does.
