2024 Secondary School’s LifeLink Day Forum

May 24, 2024

The 2024 Secondary School’s LifeLink Day Forum was held at Aranmore College on 16 May, with representatives from schools across the Diocese in attendance. This event marked the 25th year of the Archbishop’s LifeLink Appeal, which has raised over $3 million through the Catholic schools and parishes of Perth. These funds support Catholic agencies such as Shopfront and Catholic Outreach, assisting over 40,000 people in need across Perth annually.

Here is a snapshot of our students’ reflections on the experience:

“The LifeLink Forum was surprising; I didn’t expect to see so many people from our Catholic Colleges sharing the faith.”

“It made me proud to hear both Auxiliary Bishop Don Sproxton and Vicar General Rev Fr Vincent Glynn are proud, former students of Chisholm (formally St Mark’s College) and they pointed that out to everyone!“

“There were so many tables with representatives from so many schools so keen to share their ideas and ways to help LifeLink.”

“The Archbishop and everyone seemed so interested in hearing our opinions. It felt empowering and important.”

“It mightn’t always be cool to care but it is always better to care!”

(Sufiel, Alexandra, Ryder, Lawson, Angus & Mrs Del Marco).

This year’s Theme for LifeLink Day at Chisholm is “Mission to Care” and will be celebrated on Friday 21 June. For more information on these agencies we seek to support, visit LifeLink Agencies.
