Our Year 10-12 Chinese students gathered at Sun On Chinese Restaurant to celebrate Chinese New Year in a way that was both joyful and deeply meaningful.
More than a festive meal, the evening reflected the true spirit of reunion (团圆) – sharing blessings, gratitude and hope for the year ahead. Students received red packets as symbols of good fortune and learnt about important New Year traditions that bring prosperity and harmony. Most importantly, our celebration also helped our new Chisholm student feel at home and connected through culture and shared laughter.
My heartfelt thanks to our colleagues for offering warm New Year blessings, to our Deputy Principal – Wellbeing, Ms Rodrigues, for creating a special CNY video celebrating harmony and to our French teacher, Ms Giora, for being with us that evening and sharing in the joy of the celebration. It was truly a precious moment to begin the year together.
In this “Year of the Horse”, I wish the entire Chisholm community strength, harmony and great success.
