As the Year 12s wave farewell this week, we thought we would take a retrospective look at their library history.
Six of the group have borrowed over 200 books since Year 7. The top borrowers were Mia Antenucci and John Del Marco with over 400 loans each: an amazing achievement.
The cohort’s favourite author was Jeff Kinney, writer of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, with Andy Griffiths, Rick Riordan, Robert Muchamore and Stephen King rounding out the Top 5. In Year 9 and 10, Manga burst upon the reading scene, with Sui Ishida their favourite writer.
The Year 12s made great use of the eLearning Centre for studying, reading and ‘chilling out’. They played countless games of Chess and Uno. They wrote bibliographies and found resources for their assignments. We wish them all the best for the future and hope that they continue to support libraries everywhere.
