ACC ‘A’ Division Athletics Carnival

September 18, 2025

On Wednesday, our ACC Athletics Team delivered a remarkable performance at the ‘A’ Division Carnival held at the WA Athletics Stadium. Despite facing numerous challenges including injuries, illnesses and some very wet and windy conditions, Chisholm showed real grit, determination and character to achieve an impressive 3rd place overall finish.

This was the second consecutive year that Chisholm has finished 3rd – a magnificent achievement.

In the individual competitions, Chisholm won the Junior Boys Shield for the first time in recent history with a convincing margin, displaying our developing and growing Athletics programme in Years 7-9.

Furthermore, our boys overall finished in second place and our girls in sixth, in what was a true display of character and resilience.

This would not have been possible without the leadership and direction of Mr Butler, our ACC Head Coach, who worked tirelessly, along with his team of coaches from the HPE and RE Departments, in preparing our athletes for this event.

Special congratulations go to the following students who excelled in their respective age groups and finished in the Top 5:

  • Matthew Graham (U/13 Male) – Champion Boy
  • Zane Nielsen (U/13 Male) – 2nd Place
  • Ken Blackshaw (U/14 Male) – 2nd Place
  • Giuliette Vecchio (U15 Female) – 2nd Place
  • Coco Fonseca (U/15 Female) – 4th Place
  • Jacob Griffiths (U/15 Male) – 5th Place

We look forward to celebrating our ACC Athletics Team in Week 10, at both the team breakfast on Tuesday 23 September at 7:00am and in our College Assembly on Thursday 25 September.
