On Wednesday, our ACC Athletics team had a remarkable performance at ‘A’ Division Carnival held at the WA Athletics Stadium. Despite facing numerous challenges including injuries and illnesses, Chisholm showed real grit, determination and character to achieve an impressive 3rd place overall finish.
This was our best finish in recent years, and would it not been for those illnesses and injuries, second place could have been within our grasp.
In the individual competitions, Chisholm won the Senior Girls Shield for the first time in recent history, which allowed our Year 12 girls to finish their Chisholm athletics careers in the best possible way.
A wonderful achievement by the athletes and special thanks go to Mr Butler, our ACC Head Coach, who has worked tirelessly, along with his team of coaches (Mr Hill, Mr Panizza, Mr Glover, Miss James and Miss DiChiera) in preparing our athletes for this event.
Special congratulations go to the following students who excelled in their respective age groups and finished in the Top 5:
- Ken Blackshaw (U/13 Male) – 2nd Place
- Coco Fonseca (U/14 Female) – 4th Place
- Jacob Griffiths (U/14 Male) – 2nd Place
- Chiara Del Marco (U/16 Female) – 4th Place
- Ruby Lam (U/19 Female) – 1st Place!!!
Go Chisholm!
