Heartbreak for our Senior Boys Basketball team, going down in the ACC Championships Semi Final to John Septimus Roe by four points!

In what was a Grand Final rematch from the 2023 ACC Championship, Chisholm and JSR went back and forth all game, with neither team ever taking lead by more than a few points. The game came down to the final possession with a chance to take the lead for Chisholm, but unfortunately it wasn’t to be.

Although the result didn’t go our way, the boys have much to be proud of. Trials for this team were held at the end of 2023 and the team trained hard throughout Term 1 in preparation for their NAS tournament, with multiple training sessions a week on many occasions. After advancing to the ACC tournament, the boys continued to work hard in Term 2 ahead of what would be much tougher competition, and saw their hard work rewarded with some great wins against Lake Joondalup Baptist College and St Norbert. As a non-specialist school, Chisholm has exceeded expectations over the last two years in making a deep run in the ACC Championships, and were commended by the ACC yesterday for their recent performance.

Thank you to all players involved in the team, with a special mention to the Year 12s who have now played their last game for Chisholm. It has been a pleasure to coach you all this year and I couldn’t be prouder of what you have accomplished.
