On Thursday 30 May, the Cross Country Team headed to Alderbury Reserve led by our Senior Captains, Isabelle Lyra and Kai Millington, and our Junior Captains, Chiara Del Marco, Riley Todd and Angus Tyers, to compete at the ACC Cross Country Carnival. It was an extremely competitive event with 78 schools vying for success in races that had up to 400 competitors. With great determination and an attitude to ‘Strive for their Best’, the students tackled either a 3km course (Years 7 & 8) or a 4km course (Years 9-12).
After a fantastic day of competition our Girls finished 5th, with our Boys finishing 9th, giving Chisholm a 6th place overall finish, only narrowly missing a ‘Top 5’ finish by a mere 12 points.
Our best individual runners, who achieved impressive ‘Top 50’ finishes on the day, are as follows:

These wonderful team and individual results are a true reflection of not only the students’ hard work and commitment to the Cross Country Programme, but also the dedication and support of our coaching team. Thank you to Assistant Coaches Miss McLlheney, Mr Hill and Mrs Nicolau, who gave their time to ensure our students were well prepared for the Carnival, as well as Ms Powell and Mr Butler who attended on race day. Many thanks also to Mr Heyes who coordinated our ever-popular Friday morning breakfasts and for overseeing the ACC Programme. We look forward to another fantastic Cross Country and setting our sights on a ‘Top 5’ finish in 2025!
