On Wednesday, our Senior Boys’ Soccer team played the semi-final of the ACC Divisional Championship against St Norbert College at Sam Kerr Football Centre.

Full of confidence going into the game, Chisholm started brightly and put pressure on the St Norbert defence. Aiden had a goal disallowed for offside, but a swift passing move a few minutes later split the St Norbert backline and Luca finished with a powerful shot into the bottom corner. 1-0 Chisholm!

This early goal further cemented the team’s belief and desire, which culminated soon afterwards when Joseph chipped the keeper with a smart lob to put Chisholm 2-0 up at half-time.

Going into the second half, Chisholm knew that a win was within their grasp and pushed hard for the third goal and had several chances to seal the game. At the other end, our defenders kept St Norbert at bay, looking comfortable and composed all afternoon.

Chisholm finished 2-0 winners and are now in the Grand Final to be played on Wednesday 23 September with a 1:40pm kick off at Sam Kerr Football Centre. The game will be against Lake Joondalup Baptist College who overcame CBC Fremantle in the second semi-final. Parents are encouraged to come along to spectate. The game will also be live streamed on the 7West Streamer platform.
