On Tuesday 8 August, our Senior Girls Netball team took on St Brigid’s College in the Semi-Final game of the ACC Championship.
Last week’s victory over Kingsway gave Chisholm confidence going into this game. The game was played at Gold Netball Centre as a neutral venue and the challenge was going to be tougher against St Brigid’s, who themselves had impressive results leading into this game.
The game was much more evenly contested and worthy of two good teams going head-to-head in a Semi-Final. The game ebbed and flowed from the first whistle to the end of the third quarter, at which point there were only two goals between the teams.
In the final term, Chisholm stepped up a gear and managed to pull away to a fabulous victory of 37-32.
The Grand Final awaits on Tuesday 15 August, versing Aranmore Catholic College who defeated John XXIII College 33-31 in their Semi-Final. Spectators are very welcome at the game at Gold Netball Centre starting at 4pm. The game will also be streamed live by 7West Media Streamer platform free of charge.
It promises to be a grand finale to a great season. Well done to Ms Re and the squad. Go Chisholm!
