On Wednesday, the 110+ members of the Swim Team headed off to Perth High Performance Centre for the ACC ‘A’ Division Swimming Carnival. Chisholm made a splash with countless stellar individual performance and nail-biting relay finishes. There was not a dull moment all day, from seeing our newest members, the Year 7s winning multiple races and setting countless personal bests to watching the Year 12 Girls team finishing first or second in every race in their age category. To the swimmers who were named as reserves and cheered their lungs out and those that stepped up so we could field a relay team, your contribution is valued and does not go unnoticed.
A quick thank you to all the staff and student helpers who attended the Carnival, these days do not happen or run as efficiently without you. To Miss Powell and Mrs Scriven, my Assistant Coaches, your support and enthusiasm is unmatched; our team was very lucky to have you both again this year.
While we farewell an exceptional group of Year 12s this year, the future of Chisholm Swimming is looking bright. There is plenty to be excited about in 2026, but as always, it’s time to enjoy a few well-deserved sleep-ins.
