On Wednesday, 100+ students headed to the ACC ‘A’ Division Swimming Carnival. There was not a dull moment throughout the day. The enthusiasm of our Year 7 students, competing at their first ACC event, brought fresh energy to the pool deck. Meanwhile, our Year 12 team lead by example showing confidence, speed, pride and leadership in their final carnival for Chisholm. A special mention must also go to those swimmers who competed up age groups or filled in for absent teammates. Their willingness to represent the College wherever needed embodies the commitment we hope all students will aspire to.
With students from Years 7 to 12 giving their all in the pool, the day was filled with excitement, courage and displays of genuine Chisholm spirit.

Every student who competed contributed to these results, whether through individual events, relays or stepping in at the last minute to support the team. Their commitment truly made a difference.
In an outstanding highlight, Liam Leach set a new ACC record in the U/17 Boys 50m Freestyle with a blazing time of 24.17, breaking the previous record of 24.83 set in 2022.
This marks the second consecutive year Liam has broken an ACC 50m Freestyle record, which is an extraordinary achievement.
Seven of our swimmers finished in the Top Five of their age groups, an incredible accomplishment at such a competitive event. These swimmers demonstrated both skill and composure, and their efforts were a standout on the day.

A team of this scale would not be possible without the dedication of our staff and student helpers. Thanks to all involved for their time, organisation and unwavering support throughout the day. To Ms Powell and Mrs Scriven, our Assistant Coaches, your enthusiasm, encouragement and passion for our swimmers was invaluable. Our team was incredibly fortunate to have you guiding them again this year.
As we farewell a talented and spirited group of Year 12 swimmers who have helped shape the culture of our squad, we are equally excited about the future. With emerging talent already shining through, the future of Chisholm Swimming is looking exceptionally bright.
For now, though, it’s time for our swimmers to enjoy a few well‑earned sleep‑ins after a busy and successful season.
While school based swimming training is on hiatus, students looking at options to continue their swimming externally should check out details about the Chisholm Swim Academy on the College website https://www.chisholm.wa.edu.au/sport/.
