ANZAC Day Commemoration: Honouring Service and Sacrifice

April 24, 2026

At the commencement of Term 2, the College gathered in the morning to honour the courage, service and sacrifice of the ANZACs. United in faith, we paused to remember those who gave their lives in the pursuit of peace, freedom and the common good.

Grounded in prayer, the Commemoration invited us to reflect on the ANZAC spirit and the selflessness, resilience and commitment of so many. This was made all the more meaningful with our Cadets, the Last Post and Chisholm Voices singing In Flanders Field.

In the silence and stillness, we had opportunity to remember the immense cost of war, now and then, and the profound gratitude owed to those who have served in defence of peace, freedom and justice.

We commend our students for the respectful way in which they participated and conducted themselves. May we continue to honour the ANZAC legacy not only in words but in lives that choose compassion over indifference, service over self‑interest and unity over division.

Lest we forget!
