Last weekend, the College Concert Band and the College String Ensemble performed as part of the Australian Band and Orchestra Directors Association (ABODA) Senior Concert Band and Orchestra Festival.

This festival is in addition to the already running Catholic Performing Arts Festival, but involves schools from all sectors across the state.

Both groups performed and represented the College admirably to a very receptive audience and impressed adjudicators. The ensembles achieved the following awards:

• College Concert Band – Outstanding (A Division Concert Bands) – Directed by Mr Christopher Milne
• College String Ensemble – Merit (A Division String Ensemble) – Directed by Mr Brian Kruger
