Over the last five weeks, our students have taken part in the Catholic Performing Arts Festival. We had 24 ensembles participate as well as over 40 entries for solo and duet performances.
In Week 2, our smaller instrumental ensembles kicked off our CPAF entries, including our Saxophone Quartet 1 who will be performing next week in the Shield Playoffs due to their outstanding performance. Week 3 showcased our College String Ensemble and all of our smaller String groups as well as the start of our individual and duet entries which are still well underway. Week 4 we were able to show off our Jazz groups including Show Band, Junior Jazz & Jazz Combo, while Week 5 was Band week, showcasing our Year 7, 8 & 9 Bands as well as the College Concert Band. Finally in Week 6, our College Choir and Chisholm Voices rounded off our performances with a strong showing.
All of our groups have been receiving terrific scores and feedback from the adjudicators and our audiences. All of our students have done us proud, including the Year 7s in their first ever CPAF as well as the Year 12s who can hopefully celebrate their final CPAF with a feeling of accomplishment in performing to the best of their abilities.
