CEWA STEM Showcase

August 14, 2025

On Wednesday, CEWA held its annual STEM Showcase in the Br Ollie Pickett Recreation Centre at Chisholm Catholic College. Students predominantly from Metropolitan Catholic Primary and Secondary Schools visited the College to present STEM Projects covering a wide variety of contexts.

Of particular note was the presence of St Mary’s College, Broome, who were visiting Perth in the latest instalment of the Country City Partnership Programme with Chisholm Catholic College. The long trip was well worth it! Their Year 5 students produced a couple of superb projects and presented them wonderfully well.

Chisholm presented three projects spanning solutions around earthquake proof buildings to planning suburbs that will be fit for purpose in 50 years time!

We are very proud of the efforts our Year 7 and 9 students (a mix of Stellatus and STEAM) put into preparing and presenting their Projects. I’d also like to thank Ms Jenna Ng and Mr Peter D’Amico who helped prepare the students for the Showcase.
