Chisholm Care 2025 is well underway and I would like to reflect on the service our students have done so far. We are filled with pride and gratitude for the incredible work our students have done in making a positive impact on our community. Their dedication, hard work and selfless spirit have been nothing short of inspiring.
From signing up to help at fundraising events to volunteering at local charitable organisations, from baking goods for the homeless to lending a helping hand at our aged care and child care centres, our students have shown that their commitment to service extends far beyond the classroom. Each act, whether large or small, has made a great difference to the community.
It’s not always easy to find the time to give back, especially when balancing the demands of schoolwork, extracurricular activities and personal life. Yet, our students have already embraced this challenge with a sense of responsibility and passion that speaks volumes about their character. Their efforts remind us of the power of kindness and how even the smallest gestures can create ripples of change.
To all our students who have given their time, talents and hearts to the service of others already – thank you. Your generosity and compassion are the foundation of a brighter future and we are proud to have you as part of our community.
I would like to share some of the fabulous feedback we have received so far:
“The four boys (Adam Papas, Alex Canadas, Riley Turner and Alex Bliznou) who volunteered on 4 March were amazing. They showed great work ethic and behaviour. The clients and staff all had great things to say about them. Their volunteering made a positive impact on our clients lives. Thank you.” – Tom (People who Care)
“I just wanted to take a moment to share some positive feedback about today’s students Drystan Chaloner and Anthony Ciffolilli. It was their first time joining us and they have been absolutely amazing. From the moment they arrived, they took the initiative to speak with the residents, engaging with them in a warm and genuine manner.
They even went above and beyond by dressing up for our casino activity, which really added to the atmosphere. What stood out the most was how they adjusted some of our games on their own to make sure they were suitable and enjoyable for each resident. They also brought fresh ideas to the table and it’s been such a pleasure having them here.
I just wanted to send this email to highlight their excellent behaviour and initiative. Their contributions made a real difference today and I hope we can continue to encourage such positive engagement moving forward.” – Jennifer (Craig Care)
