Chisholm Care

March 17, 2022

Our Year 10 students have started their service at CraigCare aged care facility and the feedback from the organisation has been very positive. The Year 10 cohort have been very proactive with signing up and locking in their dates.

A reminder for our students who are signing up that you must be double vaccinated along with the flu vaccination; this can be a 2020 or 2021 vaccination until the new one comes out in April. Along with these guidelines you also need to collect a permission slip from me, to gain permission to get a RAT test done at CraigCare prior to starting your service on the designated day.

Students will also be working to create care packages for MercyCare, more information and photos to come of the creations designed to make someone else’s life more comfortable.

The Salvation Army and St Vincent de Paul are constantly looking for volunteers to help which is perfect for our Senior students to start building up their service hours. You will need to go onto their websites and book in under the volunteer tabs.

I have been liaising with other agencies and will be locking in some dates soon for further opportunities to help our communities in need. Stay tuned.
