Last Friday, we put a stop to our normal school day and got together to celebrate our Patron, Caroline Chisholm. We started the day with a Thanksgiving Mass. Father Zyggy, our Chaplain, shared with us what it meant to build an unbreakable bond amongst Chisholm community members by living the values of empathy, compassion, integrity and authenticity, modelling the great example of Caroline Chisholm.
The fete saw Chisholm staff and students enjoy a wide spread of delicious foods and a variety of games and activities, all for a good cause: raising funds for those in need in our society.
We welcomed back Br Ollie Pickett who spoke at the end of day whole school assembly and thanked our community for raising in excess of $85,000 throughout the many years that Chisholm has supported Wheelchairs for Kids. This translates to more than 200 wheelchairs!
We then concluded with a performance by the winners of this year’s Chisholm’s Got Talent.
Thank you to all for your participation and support of Chisholm Day!
