On Tuesday, the Aboriginal Education students went on an excursion to the Boorla Bardip WA Museum to meet the St Mary College’s students from Broome for an excursion.
Everyone met inside the museum and wandered through looking at all the amazing things on show. After that, the St Mary’s students and staff left to go to SciTech, the Aboriginal Education students went for a walk through the city to see the street art in Wolf Lane. This was very fun as we were able to stop in the Margeret River Chocolate Factory store. Here students were able to eat free samples of chocolate and some bought some to take home too. We continued walking through the city through to Yagan Square to have a look around. While we relaxed and waited for the bus, we played some games.
To conclude the day, we went back to school, were treated with subway for lunch and then headed over to the Br Olly Pickett Recreation Centre to play a big game of dodgeball.
It was a great day out walking through Wadjuk Country with the Indigenous students and getting to know the Broome staff and students.
