The Year 12 Children, Family and Community course recognises how promoting inclusion and diversity among individuals, families and groups in society contributes to the creation of safe, cohesive and sustainable communities.
The Year 12s in this course have created these City-Country “partnership packages” for the students and teachers of the Beagle Bay community in Broome, WA.
The bags have been hand-crafted, dyed and decorated under the guidance of myself and Miss Amy McGuire, our First Nations Liaison Officer at the College. We have gathered items both educational and sensory to add to the bags, with the hope that the students and teaching staff can have some fun whilst they learn.
The bags will be boxed and sent to Beagle Bay with the City-Country partnership students and teaching staff of Chisholm Catholic College this week.
