Claire Eaton: Year 8 Presentation

April 30, 2026

The Year 8 cohort recently had the privilege of hearing from guest speaker Claire Eaton, who delivered an engaging and thought-provoking presentation on the topic of Relationships. Claire shared valuable insights into building respectful, healthy connections, encouraging students to reflect on communication, boundaries and the importance of empathy in their everyday interactions.

It was particularly special to welcome Claire back to the College, as her very first presentation was at Chisholm 17 years ago. Her return highlights the enduring value of these conversations within our community and the College’s ongoing commitment to student wellbeing. Some student reflections are below:

“I really enjoyed the presentation because the Big 6 Questions and 7 Hopes made me think very deeply about friendships and friendship groups. It helped me understand how our actions and feelings can affect others and the whole school. It also showed how leaders can shape the school environment through their choices.” Peter D’Castro, 8P2

“I think that the presentation was very relatable and informative. I enjoyed how she made interactions with us like letting us discuss to our friends or her asking us questions and we would put our hands up if we could relate.” Heidi Nebel, 8L3

“I thought Claire Eaton’s presentation was a powerful reminder that our actions affect the way other people feel and we need to look after each other.” Olivia Woods, 8L2
