Chisholm again had some outstanding examples of student excellence that we were privileged to celebrate with our Year 12 students this week. From the 15,500+ Chisholm Care hours to the 7,000+ workplace experience hours to the 179 Vocational Education and Training qualifications awarded to outstanding ATAR scores. The list is quite impressive. The contribution the Class of 2022 made here at Chisholm and in the wider community was a testament to each student living our College Values of Character, Learning and Compassion.
We inducted four students to our 97 Club, as each attained a scaled score of at least 80% in four of their ATAR courses to attain an ATAR of 97 or above. We recognised our 2022 College Dux, Riya Aitwade, with our highest ATAR for 2022, followed by Patrick Jong, Ermilio Lomma and Charlie de Boer. Patrick also received recognition for his Subject Exhibition Award from SCSA for achieving the highest examination mark in the state for the Year 12 Applied Information Technology ATAR course. Riya and Patrick also received SCSA Subject Excellence Awards for Human Biology and AIT respectively, placing them in the top 0.5% of the State for their achievements in those courses. In addition, we were able to recognise two students who had been awarded scholarships to study at the University of Notre Dame in Fremantle in 2023. Aaliyah Frew, our 2022 Head Girl, was awarded the co-sponsored Chisholm Catholic College Scholarship to study Biomedical Science at UNDA and Ruby Luna received the Catholic Education of WA Merit Scholarship to commence a Bachelor of Education degree at UNDA this year.
Riya also took the time to speak to our current Year 12 students to share her learnings and encourage them all to develop routines and consistency, avoid procrastination, use staff resources for support and keep a good life balance so they, too, can reach their own personal excellence this year. It was wonderful for these students to join us for the presentations and for their PCAs to be present to share their success. Patrick was also supported by his AIT teacher. Like these special staff guests, we are all very proud of the Class of 2022 and wish them all the very best with their new journeys.
