On Saturday 16 September, three talented students represented Chisholm in the Mandarin State Speaking Competition. They sacrificed their leisure time behind the scenes to practise to perfection, successfully captured the attention of the audience and amazed the judges with their performances.

I would like to congratulate the following students:

Year 7: Craig De Mello: 2^nd place

Year 8: Olivia Gatti – 1^st place; and Amelia Murphy-Marsh – 2^nd place.

These students have truly proved that their hard work and dedication has led to their success. I also would like to take this opportunity to thank the parents and a few of my fellow colleagues for their great support.
