On Saturday 24 August, Chisholm had three teams from the Year 7-9 Stellatus classes and four Year 10 students compete in the Creative Edge Competition at Curtin University.
The three teams were required to work together on the challenge of their choosing for up to six weeks, before and after school, without assistance from anyone outside the team. They were encouraged to explore possibilities and experiment with a range of ideas as they worked towards their best possible solution.
In addition, teams were given an “Impromptu Creativity Challenge” on the day of the competition.
The teams developed both critical and creative thinking skills and were challenged to experiment with original ways to communicate their challenge solution to an audience.
The three teams performed excellently on the day and all have been selected to attend the State Finals on 14 September. This is an outstanding result by all involved and I am keen to see how the teams perform and wish them all the best.
I would also like to thank Ms Jenna Ng for her time commitment supervising the teams before school and attending on the 24 August to support all three teams.
