FROM THE PRINCIPAL – Engaging Community

March 14, 2025

This week has seen a range of activities involving our community at Chisholm. On Tuesday evening, numerous parents spent time at various concurrent sessions of their choice, to hear information on a range of topics across individual year groups or the secondary journey as a whole. This valuable exercise was assisted by members of our Parent Engagement Group who provided information and directions to the venues.

Parents of our Mandarin language students also recently attended their latest information briefing as they prepare to depart for their China Tour coming up in the April holidays.

Thursday’s annual Open Day heralded another great opportunity for many members of the community and prospective families to visit the College and to see first-hand what a wonderful campus and thriving pastoral and academic community Chisholm really is. Three large groups came through the campus at different times of the day, graciously guided by our Student Leaders and staff members who attended to lots of questions. As always, it was a great opportunity to see things in full swing, including the College Concert Band led by our Director of Music, Mr Pointon, and the College Voices choir, who entertained at the beginning. My sincere thanks to Ms Rodrigues and everyone involved.

The College community in general has also supported the beginning of our fundraising period for Caritas that links in with Lent on our liturgical calendar. Many class groups are actively looking at ways to raise these worthy funds that go to those in need around the world. Thank you for supporting the cause.
