From Wednesday 5 February, students with a valid Student SmartRider can travel for free on Transperth services for any journey Monday – Friday, until the end of the school year.

Students must tag on and off each journey to receive the free travel. As per the Transperth website, there is a grace period up until March 1st. Students can travel without a ticket up until this date, after which time, their SmartRider is required to take advantage of the free travel.

Note: When boarding a bus, you can only tag on at the front of the bus. If you tag on at a centre or rear door, you’ll receive a default fare. When getting off you can tag off at any door.

Replacement SmartRiders can be ordered in Library for $5.
