On behalf of the Executive Director of Catholic Education, Mr Wayne Bull, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Simon Harvey as the new Principal of Chisholm Catholic College, Bedford, effective 1 January 2026.

Simon is a dedicated and faith-filled Catholic leader who has made a significant contribution to Catholic Education in Western Australia over many years. He is currently serving as Principal of Mazenod College, Lesmurdie, where he has been since 2023.

Prior to this, Simon was Principal of St Norbert College, Queens Park, from 2017 to 2022, where he demonstrated exemplary leadership and a deep commitment to the school community. He also previously served as Vice Principal at Chisholm Catholic College from 2016 to 2017.

Throughout his career with CEWA, Simon has consistently demonstrated the dedication, confidence and capability to positively impact the lives of students, staff and families. He is deeply committed to the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to realise their full potential. As a visible and engaging leader, Simon leads by example and inspires both students and staff to strive for excellence.

We are excited about Simon’s return to Chisholm and are confident that his leadership will have a transformative impact on the College. His ability to mentor and guide others, combined with his passion for education, will undoubtedly enrich every aspect of the school community.

We extend our warmest congratulations to Simon on his appointment and look forward to the contributions he will bring to Chisholm and the broader CEWA community.

We also take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to Mr John Bormolini for his continued support and leadership. We look forward to formally farewelling him as he prepares for retirement at the end of Term 4.
