FROM THE PRINCIPAL – Term 1 Week 6

March 13, 2026

Dear Parents, Students, Staff and Friends of Chisholm Catholic College,

“No one lights a lamp to put it under a tub; they put it on the lamp-stand where it shines for everyone in the house” (Matthew 5: 15).

Our Open Day yesterday was a wonderful celebration of our College and the vibrant community that surrounds it. It was a privilege to welcome so many prospective families, alumni and members of the wider community who came to experience first-hand, the spirit that makes Chisholm Catholic College such a special place.

Our guests had the opportunity to explore our learning spaces, meet our dedicated staff and hear from students who proudly shared their experiences of life at the College. From the classrooms to the specialist facilities and co-curricular displays, our Community Relations Team of staff and students and Student Tour Guides were outstanding ambassadors – demonstrating not only the breadth of opportunities available, but also our College Values of Character, Learning and Compassion.

I extend my sincere thanks to the many staff and students who generously gave their time to prepare displays, lead tours and welcome our guests. I was privileged to hear so many positive comments from our guests about the visible and obvious pride in Chisholm Catholic College and the willingness to share personal stories, which clearly made a lasting impression on all who attended.

We are also grateful to the families and community members who joined us on the day. We hope your visit provided a meaningful insight into the life of our College, the values that guide us and we look forward to welcoming many new families in the years ahead.

I would like to conclude by thanking our current community for the role you continue to play in making our College such a welcoming and faith-filled place.

God bless.

Mr Simon Harvey
