This week has seen many students and staff involved with presenting this year’s College Production, “The Wind in the Willows”, to the Chisholm community.
While the closing show is scheduled for tomorrow night, I wish to extend a huge thank you to the dedication and commitment the staff have shown to our students. The opportunity for students to hone their thespian and musical talents will, I’m sure, be memorable.
I also thank the many students for their countless hours of rehearsals and hard work to stage such wonderful performances. You must all take a bow and be applauded for your efforts.
A show of this magnitude requires much preparation and direction and I wish to single out and acknowledge six key staff – Rebecca Williams (Show Director), Maddy March-Anthony (Show Co-Director), David Lyons-Nash (Stage Manager), Nicole Huggins (Producer), Chris Milne (Music Director) and Mathew Leak (Singing Coach). Ensuring that each member of the huge team played their part, these people gave up so much of their time to make this an extraordinary opportunity for students.
On another note, Year 12 students studying General courses begin their Externally Set Tasks (EST) next week. These assessments, set by the School Curriculum and Standards Authority, are scheduled in all Western Australian schools over the coming weeks. I wish students every success and hope their efforts are rewarded with pleasant results.
I hope you have an enjoyable weekend and week ahead.
