FROM THE PRINCIPAL – Term 2 Week 2

May 5, 2022

Mr Bormolini has previously referred to the exciting structural projects that are being considered in the College’s Masterplan. Over the last six months, what was the lecture theatre, has been completely repurposed into contemporary learning spaces. This facility has been designed to incorporate two general learning areas and four breakout spaces and will provide students with the ability for enhanced engagement and collaboration.

Another development at the College over the latter half of Term 1 has been further landscaping of the open area between eLearning Centre and the Graham Cooney Centre for Learning Diversity. Boulder seating surrounding native vegetation and Totem Poles vividly displaying the College Values in English and Nyoongar makes it an ideal setting, especially, during break times.

Over the coming weeks many students will be sitting a variety of assessments, such as NAPLAN, Externally Set Tasks (EST) and mid-year exams. I encourage parents/carers to be supportive and ensure that their child strikes a balance between all commitments. I hope students stay positive, develop an effective personal study routine, eat a nutritious diet, get enough rest and sleep, and exercise regularly. I wish students every success and hope their efforts are rewarded with pleasant results.

I wish all mothers, grandmothers and expectant mothers a very Happy Mother’s Day this Sunday. May God’s blessings be always upon you.

I hope you have an enjoyable weekend and week ahead.
