I’ll be stating the obvious, and something you have heard many times over the last couple of years, if I say the school Term so far has been challenging on a number of fronts. All staff at Chisholm appreciate the patience and resilience that students and families have displayed as we respond to the times we currently face.
While some planned events have had to be cancelled or postponed, you will note from the articles in this week’s Carolean, that we are managing to continue to provide as many ‘outside the classroom’ learning experiences as possible to our students. I am very appreciative of the willingness staff have shown to organise these events to ensure that students continue to receive a quality education.
Every week staff have the opportunity to gather together, prior to school starting in the morning, and be led by a learning faculty in prayer. This week, staff from Learning Support provided us with the opportunity to reflect and pray on how, with Jesus’ help, we can unite as one family to face the current turmoil that exists in our world. I want to share with you the YouTube video clip shared with staff: “50 Countries Sing Amazing Grace ALL OVER the WORLD” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BA7pdABvpnc. The message here certainly resonates with what we so often recite from our College prayer ‘As followers of Caroline Chisholm may we serve the needs of others to make our world a better place.”
I hope you have an enjoyable weekend and week ahead.
