While the end of this week sees us at the half way point for Term 2, the next couple of weeks will involve many of our Senior students sitting mid-year exams. This is a time where students will be consolidating and studying their subject material in readiness to perform to the best of their ability in these assessments. As I wrote a few weeks ago, I encourage parents/carers to support their child to stay focussed and positive during this potentially stressful time. I urge you to discuss with your child the tips Mrs Pietropaolo has included in this Carolean.
A focus at the College this week has been National Reconciliation Week. I wish to thank Miss McGuire and Mr Ricks for the many meaningful resources they develop and for their efforts in continuing to raise our awareness for an equitable and reconciled Australia. A vote of thanks also to Mr Bussanich and the Community Relations Committee for overseeing production of the Reconciliation Week video which challenged us to reflect on this year’s theme “Be Brave. Make Change.”
This week also saw us acknowledge all students in the ACC Cross Country Squad who have been training solidly for the big event next week. I wish all these students the very best of luck and I hope their efforts are rewarded with outstanding results. I know they will make our College proud. A special thank you also to all the staff involved in preparing our students for this event.
I hope you have an enjoyable weekend and week ahead.
