We’ve had an amazing end to Term 3, in fact the whole term has been filled with highlights.

We were still energised at the start of this week, after the wonderful week of Performing Arts events last week. We had the CPAF Finale Concert and our Jazz Band 1 winning the Chistian Brothers shield, our Year 12 Drama monologues, the Year 11 Drama performance and the amazing College Music Night.

So, then to this week, our Senior Boys set our sporting world alight with a thrilling 3-2 victory in the ACC Soccer Championships on Wednesday afternoon. Led superbly by our Year 12 players; it was quite possibly the energy, enthusiasm and outright raucous but always respectful, cheering from our Year 12 spectators (the 12th player) that got the team across the line. Congratulations to Mr Ralph Heyes and the team for this wonderful success.

We celebrated a joyful College Assembly yesterday, marking our Performing Arts staff and students, the ACC Soccer Championship, our Kimberley Immersion and the City-Country Partnership STEM festival in Broome. We farewelled our Vietnam Immersion Team and announced Prendiville House as the House Shield winner for 2026.

We also commenced what is, in essence, the Graduation celebrations for our Year 12 students. It was wonderful to share in a Thanksgiving Mass with the Class of 2026, followed by an assembly, acknowledging student achievements, contributions and the support of our Pastoral Care Advisors. Thank you to Mr Andrew Glover, Fr Greg Skulski, Mrs Jacqui Matheson and Deacon Aaron Peters for their leadership and organisation of these special events. We look forward to the culmination and formal farewell of our Year 12’s in Term 4.

It is always a sad reality at the end of any term, to farewell students and staff who are moving on from Chisholm, and I thank them all for their contributions to our College community. Of particular note, I would like to acknowledge and thank Mrs Liz Sloan, Mrs Rochelle Van Der Merwe, Mrs Maria Wainwright, Mrs Lorraine Humphry and Mr Uday Singh who finish their short-term contracts with us this week.

I would like to conclude by thanking all of our staff and students for their efforts this term in maintaining a vibrant, engaging and accomplished learning environment at Chisholm. I wish you all a relaxing and restful break. We look forward to Term 4 with continued optimism.
