It was great to have Simon Harvey visit us for briefing on Monday and renew some old acquaintances and familiar faces. He enjoyed the opportunity and is looking forward to others if time and his calendar permits before he commences. Our newly appointed School Improvement Advisor, Neil Alweyn, also relished the chance to spend some time walking the campus and discussing various matters.
The College Advisory Council members took in the opportunity to view and experience the new eLearning link bridge as part of their usual campus walk around to inspect our facilities and how they’re being utilised. The discussions included the College’s recent confirmation of additional solar panels to our current array. These new panels will be placed on the rooves of the pool area, eLearning and the Flexible Learning Centre and extend our power generation from the current 100 kW out to 300 kW. We thank Graham Adam for again driving this initiative in the interests of sustainability and in keeping with Pope Francis’ Laudato Si imperative, being good stewards for our environment and creation.
Thanks to all of those involved in our Subject Selection counselling process and interviews with parents and students. It’s another important facet of what we do well at Chisholm.
