FROM THE PRINCIPAL – Term 3 Week 5

August 21, 2025

It’s hard to believe that our Year 12 students have just five weeks of class time remaining before their formal lessons conclude. This is a significant milestone, not only for the students, but for their families and our entire school community. In the coming weeks, all students will finalise their assessments, and many will also be preparing for their final examinations. This is a time that can feel both exciting and overwhelming, and parental support at home is more important than ever.

In an ever-changing world, the qualities that define success extend far beyond academic grades. It is crucial that all Chisholm Catholic College students equip themselves with a suite of personal and practical skills that will serve them throughout their lives. Critical thinking and problem-solving enable students to analyse complex situations, evaluate information, and find innovative solutions. Coupled with this is effective communication, the ability to articulate ideas clearly and work collaboratively with others. Furthermore, resilience and adaptability are traits that empower students to overcome challenges, learn from setbacks and thrive in new circumstances.

As our senior students embark on their next chapter, we encourage our younger students to look to them as role models. We hope they take responsibility for their learning, embrace challenges and practice self-discipline in their schoolwork and daily life. It is by developing these attributes during the school years that a strong foundation will be formed for whatever lies ahead.

Regardless of the path chosen, our goal is to ensure every student leaves Chisholm Catholic College feeling confident and prepared for a lifetime of learning and achievement grounded in the understanding that their unique journey is divinely guided and purposeful.

I hope you have an enjoyable weekend and week ahead.
