FROM THE PRINCIPAL: Term 4 Begins

October 15, 2021

Our Year 12 students have completed their Mock Examinations during the holidays and this week and we now look forward to their final Graduation ceremony next week at the College. My thanks to Mrs Millimaci for coordinating and overseeing these important exams.

Term 4 has commenced as it usually does with our staff engaging in a day of Faith Formation. This year we have focused on service to others and each individual staff member was involved in helping others in the wider community in some way. This Act of Service emphasis was complemented by presentations from Father Renald Anthony and Father Israel Quirit around the theology and philosophy of Christian Service, and Father Zyggy our Chaplain on Wellbeing from a Christian perspective. This was also followed by sessions led by guest presenters Charlotte Ellery and Geniene Mairata from Well Built Mind around the chemistry of our brain and making links to this when we do things for others.

Once again, a big thank you to Mr Swindells our Deputy Principal of Mission for his great work in putting the day together and to all our staff who engaged so well in the activity and reflections of the day.

I look forward to writing personally to all families next week with important information about the term and our expectations around a good finish to the year.

Mr John Bormolini
Principal
