Our academic focus and assessments increase in these weeks as we enter the midterm stages and lead up to our First Semester Examinations. Parts of our senior student cohort have sat important Externally Set Tasks testing earlier this week and today will be a self-directed study day for Year 11 and 12 students.
Year 10 – 12 students are now focussing on preparations in the weeks ahead for the College First Semester Exams commencing in Week 6. This examination period will see our senior students on study leave for Week 6 and 7 as the exams are held.
We look forward to our Musical Production “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” commencing next week in the College auditorium. As usual, a lot of work and rehearsal has gone into producing this major performance event by students and staff alike. I’m sure it will be a very enjoyable showcase of talent.
Later today, some invited guests will gather at the College for the Official Blessing and Opening of our new Flexible Learning Centre. The building continues to expand in its use since the first few weeks of this year and is being utilised well by students. We look forward to its expanded function when our exams begin, when the whole building will be utilised specifically for this purpose for a fortnight.
