Chisholm Hold Their Nerve in Thrilling Win Over Perth Modern

Chisholm secured an exciting victory over Perth Modern School, successfully chasing down a target of 97 runs with a few balls to spare.

Chisholm won the toss and sent Perth Modern in to bat. Some sharp work in the field and solid bowling played a key role in keeping the total within reach. Nishchal, Angus and Sam all claimed a wicket, while Hamish and Julian were outstanding with two wickets each to help restrict Perth Modern to a manageable total. Strong catching efforts from Angus, Henry, Jai, Keith and Mitchell ensured valuable breakthroughs, while Louis, Julian, Henry and Mitchell all played a part in well-executed run outs.

In reply, Chisholm began their run chase with confidence. Julian and Austin set the tone early, getting the innings off to a fast start and putting the opposition bowlers on the back foot. Their positive approach laid the foundation for the chase, with valuable contributions from Mitchell, Angus and Sam helping maintain the momentum.

Despite the close nature of the contest, Chisholm displayed impressive composure in the closing stages, calmly guiding the team past the target to finish at 7/99 and secure a well-earned win.

Our team remains unbeaten in the competition. We look forward to competing in the finals in the coming weeks with the Grand Final to be played at the WACA.
