Our first game against CBC Fremantle saw the Chisholm team hit the winning run with one ball to spare in an absolute nail biter. CBC won the toss and elected to bat, getting off to a fast start. Chisholm put the clamps on through the middle overs and kept CBC to a modest score of 98. James’ 3 wickets for 13 runs (3 overs) and Hamish’s 2 wickets for 15 runs (4 overs), along with wickets from Sam and Angus were crucial in us restricting their total.

The loss of early wickets increased the difficulty of the task, but the team didn’t panic and methodically chased down the target with 3 wickets in hand. Mitchell’s score of 47 from 53 deliveries anchored the Chisholm innings with important contributions from Julian and Henry.
