GRIP Leadership Conference

February 26, 2026

On Thursday 19 February, 36 House Representatives from Years 8-10 proudly attended the GRIP Student Leadership Conference, joining approximately 1,000 student leaders from schools across the region for an inspiring and practical day of leadership development.

The GRIP Student Leadership Conference is unique because it focuses specifically on training student leaders for their role as school leaders. Every aspect of the day, including the presentation style and the topics covered, centred on what students can do right now to make a positive difference within their own school communities.

Throughout the conference, our House Representatives worked collaboratively with students from other schools, sharing ideas and developing strategies to implement new initiatives at Chisholm. The sessions encouraged them to think about leadership as action and challenged them to step up, take responsibility and lead with purpose in their Houses and across the wider school community.

The energy and enthusiasm shown by our students was outstanding. They returned motivated and equipped with practical tools to strengthen school spirit, improve communication and create meaningful opportunities for student involvement.

We look forward to seeing the impact these 36 House Representatives will have as they continue their leadership journey at Chisholm. The future is bright and we are excited to watch their ideas come to life throughout the year.
