For Harmony Day this year, Friday 21 March, students will be asked to donate $2 towards Caritas’ Project Compassion.
For their donation students will be able to wear free dress, however, in the spirit of Harmony Day, please encourage students to wear a traditional cultural dress/costume or orange (the colour of Harmony Day) or a sports jersey.
The students in traditional dress will receive House Points for their House and go into the draw to win one of three gift vouchers. Before school, students who are in traditional dress/costume are to get a raffle ticket from one of seven stations. These stations will be in your year area. Students wearing sports jerseys will also be counted toward the House Point tally, but won’t be given a raffle ticket.
Leading up to Harmony Day, on Tuesday and Thursday, the Liturgy Committee members will be outside the canteen at lunchtime, giving a Harmony Day Ribbon away with every donation to Project Compassion.
