Last Thursday, 80 enthusiastic Junior Chisholm Ministers gathered in both K1 and then our College Chapel for a special Training Retreat evening. Supported by our dedicated Senior Chisholm Ministers, Nicola Clover and Beatrice Doan (Year 12s) and Trinity Jones, Amelia Lembo, Tilly Richards-Scully and Aleksander Trott (Year 11s), as well as Campus Ministry Team staff members, Fr Zyggy, Sr Chau, Mrs Matheson, Mr Panizza, Mrs Lopez-Paterson and myself, the event proved to be a lot of fun as well as being an informative and uplifting experience for all involved.
There was a lot of good energy and community spirit on display as we ate and played some games before hearing some personal testimonies and engaging in some practical training sessions. We concluded with a beautiful celebration of the Mass, involving new Chisholm Ministers reading and serving at the Altar for the very first time.
The future of student involvement in our school liturgies looks incredibly promising, thanks to the outstanding turnout and the passionate, high-quality group of young Chisholm Ministers stepping forward. Heartfelt thanks to all involved in the evening.
