This week, we have been celebrating Laudato Si’ week. Laudato Si’ was an encyclical from Pope Francis, urging everyone to take care of our common home. This year’s theme was ‘From Hope to Action’.

As with every Wellness Wednesday, students were encouraged to walk to school on Wednesday, to earn House Points for their House. This also tied in with National Walk Safely to School Day.

During Wednesday lunch time, teams of Year 12 students took part in Chisholm Catholic College’s first SpoGomi competition. SpoGomi is a litter picking competition, originating from Japan. Disappointingly, they were able to collect over five kilograms of rubbish in just ten minutes, despite litter bins being situated all around the College grounds.

All week there has been a Containers for Change house competition, which will be concluded on Friday.
