On Tuesday, representatives from the Environment and Liturgy Committees, accompanied by Mrs Matheson and myself, attended a Laudato Si Youth Summit at Servite College. Here we met with students from other CEWA schools to learn and share ideas regarding the seven principles addressed in Pope Francis’ encyclical, Laudato Si.

Students could choose to attend workshops on topics such as Coffee, Sustainable Fashion, AI and First Nations Perspectives. We got to understand more about the environmental and social impacts of our everyday choices and share ideas with other schools on how we can care for God’s creation, our common home, on a daily basis within our home and school communities.

The Environment and Liturgy Committees are excited to further promote new ideas in school, based on what we learned at the Summit.
