Over the last six months, Laurence House has held a photo competition in which students shared their experience of “Learning Through Service”, the House’s motto. The winner of the competition is Chelsea Hunter, who had the following to say about her service:
“This is a photo of a friend and I working with Environment House last Saturday. We spent five hours in the cold, windy rain selling plants to the Bassendean locals and I somehow enjoyed every second of it. I study geography and plan to go into an environment-based career when I finish school, so I loved talking to all sorts of people about something we all care about. I learnt a lot about different types of plants and the local environment and it was really just a good experience. Both of us also signed up to go there again to help with planting along the riverbank, just for some fun.”
Well done Chelsea, on completing your Chisholm Care and sharing your experience!
